The Broadway musical 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' announced today that, due to overwhelming response from Hong Kong audiences, eight additional performances will be added from December 1 to 6, 2026, at the Grand Theatre of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. This additional run marks the final performances in Hong Kong, offering audiences a last chance to secure the best seats and immerse themselves in this highly anticipated fantastical musical adventure.

Additionally, from November 10 to December 6, 2026, The Peninsula Hong Kong will offer a 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' themed accommodation package, combining the limited-time afternoon tea, themed cocktail-making experience at Felix Bar, behind-the-scenes chocolate factory tour, chocolate-making workshop, daily breakfast, and musical tickets, creating a luxurious, magical stay that continues the enchanting charm of this classic tale.

Citywide Golden Ticket Hunt to Launch Soon
To celebrate the countdown to the premiere, a citywide interactive Golden Ticket hunt will officially launch in October this year, inviting all Hong Kong residents to join the pre-premiere festivities. The event will offer a series of exclusive surprises, including musical tickets, luxury room stays at The Peninsula Hong Kong, and GODIVA chocolate gift boxes perfect for sharing with family. 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' musical is adapted from Roald Dahl’s globally beloved classic story, following a boy named Charlie Bucket who wins a Golden Ticket and visits the mysterious, dreamlike chocolate factory of Willy Wonka, embarking on an unexpected fantastical adventure. The musical retains classic hits such as 'Pure Imagination,' 'The Candy Man,' and 'I’ve Got a Golden Ticket,' while adding new original songs by Grammy and Tony Award winners Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman.
